For flat and smooth surfaces
Custom stickers can be installed on any flat surface indoors or outdoors. First of all we go the extra mile and laminate all of our graphics prior to cutting. By adding a gloss or matt laminate to the printed surface this gives the sticker a protective covering. As a result, laminating protects from UV fading and general abrasions. Did you know non laminated vinyl stickers are prone to scratching and fade quickly?
Common applications include the decoration of shop windows and car rear windows for example. Manufactured by reverse printing the sticker on a clear or transparent vinyl material. Furthermore, customers can either order standard self-adhesive vinyl, or we can supply in static cling material. Static cling is held in place with an electrostatic charge. Another benefit of using self cling is the removable and re-positionable properties. This is ideal for those looking for a temporary solution.
From car doors to vehicle panels, floors, product labelling and informational purposes. There really is no end to where you can position a custom vinyl sticker. Not to mention the waterproof and weatherproof qualities, they're a convenient way to showcase any message. Manufactured with the adhesive on the rear of the print. It's just a case of peeling away from the backing sheet and applying by hand.
The printing process explained
We print all of our custom vinyl stickers in-house on our wide format digital inkjet printer. This is a roll to roll machine that handles up to 4ft wide material and can print many stickers at once. We also use an eco-solvent ink that is very hard wearing.
In addition, we're able to print at a high resolution of 1440dpi. This means crisp looking stickers not to mention vivid colours with razor sharp detail. Finally after printing, we then laminate our stickers with either a gloss or matt finish. We then send the print to our vinyl cutter to cut in the desired patten required.
What types of adhesives are available?
Common types of adhesives are permanent, removable and static cling. Permanent adhesive is for all long-term installations. Interestingly it helps the sticker not to shrink or peel at the edges. Removable adhesive is for short-term uses and has low-tack properties. Alternatively, static cling is a glue free material that is uniquely designed for windows. It simply 'clings' to the glass using a static charge.
